Things worth mentioning…
After Saturday’s game got suspended due to rain, the game got picked back up in the bottom of the fourth inning with the Blue Jays down 1-0. Despite getting a bunch of guys on base, the Jays couldn’t get many across the plate. They ended up losing 3-2 after Jordan Romano allowed a solo shot to Brandon Lowe, one of baseball’s hottest hitters, in the eighth inning. It was Romano’s first earned run all season.
The first game was a bit frustrating, but it was ultimately just a tight loss to a good team. It happens. The second game, though? What the fuck? Matt Shoemaker was thrown out of the game for barking at Vic Carapazza for having a shitty strike zone, which put the pitching staff in a difficult situation. Jacob Waguespack, Anthony Kay, and A.J.
